We went to see "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" - the second in the Chronicles of Narnia series, and the first Hollywood production of one of the chronicles by beloved author C.S. Lewis - on opening night last Friday with Sanjay, Kathy, and Sandeep. An amazing allegory of the Gospel message - the unbelievable sacrifice Jesus made to atone our sins. I grew up reading all the books in the series and "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" was by far my favorite, but for me, seeing it vividly prortrayed on the big screen was much more poignant than just reading it. Here's what we looked like that night:

I am three weeks overdue on my commitment to post pictures and highlights from our Southern California trip. But, better late than never, here they are: Day 1: Drive down the incredibly scenic Pacific Coastal Highway (HWy 1) from San Francisco to my aunt's house in Orange County. Day 2: Universal Studios theme park in Hollywood. Fun rides, shows, and the inside look on how they make the movies.

Day 3: Sea World in San Diego. I've been to San Diego a dozen times and each time I'm more and more tempted to move there! It was my first time at Sea World though. I wonder if when God created the killer whale, he ever foresaw it doing backflips!

Thanksgiving dinner was later that evening with my Aunt and her family.
Day 4: Day after Thanksgiving sales in Orange County, which I suspect was Anugrah's highlight of the vacation;)
Day 5: Hanging out with my 6 year old cousin, Isaac, at Newport Beach and watching the sunset over the Pacific yet another time.
Day 6: Drive through Hollywood. Walk a few blocks around Hollywood Blvd and Vine St. (otherwise known as the Walk of Fame). Drive down Sunset Blvd to Beverly Dr. and Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills. Intensely struggle with the desire to covet other people's houses on Beverly Dr. and once this urge was overcome after a lengthy battle;) , we drove back home to San Francisco to our cozy apartment in Foster City.
